A new Master aligned with labour market needs

In Wallonia, the role of Business Analyst is identified as a critical function. In response to the shortage of hybrid profiles and the accelerating digital transformation of organisations, HEC Liège — in collaboration with HELMo, HEPL and Henallux — is launching a Work-study Master Business Analyst.

At the heart of organisations, the Business Analyst plays a key role in understanding, analysing and improving processes. Acting as an interface between business teams and technical experts, they have become a central player in digital transformation.

Several companies in the Liège region — including Ethias, EVS, NRB, GRE Liège and NSI — have already expressed interest in hosting students, confirming both the relevance of the programme and its strong economic anchoring.

A program at the intersection of Technology and Management

This new 120-credit Master’s programme stands out for its innovative positioning:

• training technically skilled profiles in strategic and business dimensions
• combining engineering sciences, IT and management
• addressing the concrete needs of organisations undergoing transformation

The objective is to educate professionals who can understand technological challenges while adopting a strategic and organisational perspective.

Work-study learning as a driver of employability

This new master’s program is part of the broader development of work-study higher education, combining professional immersion with academic learning through a learning by doing approach.

Following the success of the work-study Master in Sales Management, HEC Liège is strengthening its commitment to education grounded in economic reality. “Work-study programs are a strategic lever for enhancing the employability of young talent and supporting the competitiveness of Walloon companies,” emphasizes Minister of the Economy Pierre-Yves Jeholet.
